Renewable raw material sources will be of increasing importance in the future, due to the earths limited oil resources. FWG has started manufacturing films made of PLA as early as in 2003. The bioplastic material called polylactic acid (PLA), is made of renewable raw materials and biologically degradable. However, PLAs properties regarding gloss and stability and even its value is already comparable with some polyesters. To increase the market share of this renewable raw material, we at FWG are conducting extensive research to improve the impact resistance and compostability of this material. In collaboration with our suppliers, we develop PLA films for special applications in a customer-oriented manner. So, take a step into the future and test our PLA films for your product!
